Maria Molchanova

I was born in the small northern town of Kirovsk. At the age of 13, my parents and I moved to the central part of Russia, to the city of Tver. Since childhood, I have loved to draw. Art helped to cope with difficulties, energized, gave impetus to further development. Despite my love of art, I did not receive special education and studied to be a nurse. I recently returned to my favorite activity - drawing, but I continue to work in the hospital. Drawing distracts me from the pain and suffering that I often see in my patients. Creativity helps me create beauty. My works are dominated by textured pastes, acrylic paints, paintings made of gold and silver.
My art is a constant journey. On the one hand, I simply depict the beauty and perfection of the surrounding world through the eyes of an artist. On the other hand, some of my works reveal details that were not initially visible to the viewer. I am always interested in what is hidden beyond human perception.
