Sometimes I wonder what my motivation is. Creativity is not always about pleasure and good sales. I realised that when I am working on a painting, and even when I am not sitting at the easel, I am engaged in an inner cleansing from the grey veil of everyday life, from bitterness, anger and despair. Nina Dubrovina was born in Moscow in 1962. In 1987 she graduated from the Faculty of Journalism of the Lomonosov Moscow State University. She learned the basics of artistic skills at home under the guidance of her parents - professional artists. She also took lessons of academic drawing in the studio of A.V. Vrubel - professor, teacher of the drawing department of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the MVKhPU. In the 90s she actively exhibited in Russia and in Europe. From 1998 to 2007 she worked in the magazine "Idei Vashego Doma" as editor-in-chief, and then until the end of 2013 - in Shkulev Media Holding as editorial director.
Currently, Nina Dubrovina is fully devoted to the visual arts. She is proficient in various techniques - easel painting on canvas in oil and acrylic, mixed media on paper.
